Mop once a week with a mixture of mild soap and warm water. Use the right types of mop and soap specified by the tile manufacturer. Put in mind that you must dry the floor properly soon after mopping because wet surface is a magnet for dirt. Clean spills as soon as they hit the floor. Although tiles are pretty stain resistant, some liquids can cause a lasting stain for examples nail polish, ink, grease, and blood. Leaving them unwashed for just several hours may even result in permanent marks. Use absorbent cloth to wipe up the spills; use disinfectant if necessary. As preventive measures, put door mats and rugs in some areas where foot traffic is high. A door mats must be placed in front of every door to help remove dirt from your shoes before entering the house. Rugs in the most frequently used rooms are good ideas too, as it can help prevent spills from directly hitting the floor. That being said, you must clean the rugs regularly as well.

When you are finished cooking a meal, you let your pots and pans soak for a while. Of course, sometimes it is tough to remove a stain even after it has been soaking. With these tips for soaking dirty pots and pans, it will be easier to cut through that stain. Hot Water Soak Sometimes, a little hot water is all you need to clean your pots and pans. Once you are finished cooking, fill your cookware with hot water, and let it soak for about 20 minutes. It loosens the food so you can clean your cookware. If you forgot to soak your cookware, or if it needs more time to soak, extend the soak time by a few hours or overnight. White Vinegar Soak A little white vinegar can help remove the stubborn stains from your cookware. Start by soaking your pots and pans in two cups of white vinegar for about 30 minutes. Rinse the cookware with hot soapy water to remove the stains. Finish it off with a cold-water rinse to ensure the vinegar scent does not linger. Salt Water Soak A salt water soak is an overnight method, and it saves you the trouble of scrubbing the burned-on stains off your pots and pans. You are going to soak the cookware in salt water overnight, and then boil the mixture the next day. It should lift the stain right off your cookware. When you try these methods of soaking your dirty pots and pans, your cookware is sure to look as good as new.

When cleaning up after cooking, you should never pour grease down the drain. Once the grease cools down, it turns into a solid matter. Over time, all the grease you pour down the drain is going to clog the sewer pipes, causing plumbing problems in your home and neighborhood.  If you have any grease you need to get rid of, check out the following tips on how to properly dispose of grease. Disposal of Grease That Solidifies You want to allow grease that solidifies to cool down before you dispose of it. If you want to speed up the process, place it in a disposable container, and then leave it in the refrigerator until it is solid. Then, place the container in a plastic bag to prevent leakage. The entire container, inside the bag, should be discarded with your trash. Disposal of Grease That Does Not Solidify Some grease does not solidify, but regardless, it should never be poured down the drain. The proper way to dispose the grease is to pour it in a sealed container, which can also be placed in a plastic bag before disposal. Just like with the solid grease, you want to throw the bag, with the container inside, out with your trash. If you often find yourself dealing with grease, consider storing a few disposable containers in a cabinet or bin, so you are prepared to discard the grease. Grease that is left over in your cookware should be removed before you wash your dishes. You do not want to unintentionally pour any grease down the drain. When removing the grease, you should always place it in the disposable container to be tossed out. When you take the time to properly dispose of grease, you are preventing plumbing problems in your home and neighborhood.

It not only creates an unsightly appearance, but it can also lead to damage to your appliances, fixtures, dishes and even clothing. You can clean the hard water buildup by keeping the following tips in mind. Washing Machine A washing machine with hard water buildup leads to clothing that looks faded and feels uncomfortable. The buildup can even damage the materials of your clothing, which is why it needs to be removed as soon as possible. You can remove the buildup by adding a gallon of white vinegar to your empty washing machine and running the wash cycle on the hot water setting. Dishwasher Hard water buildup in your dishwasher can lead to stained dishes, so you want to clean your dishwasher once a month. You can do this by adding a cup of white vinegar to your empty dishwasher. Then, run the cleaning cycle to remove the hard water. It never hurts to clean your dishwasher even if you do not notice any signs of buildup. Sinks and Bathtubs Sinks and bathtubs need to be cleaned often to ensure they are not affected by hard water buildup. Remove the buildup from these areas by spraying each surface with vinegar or lemon juice. Let the solution sit for 30 minutes before wiping it down. If necessary, repeat the process until the buildup is gone. While it may seem like a lot of work, removing hard water buildup is essential to running a clean, efficient home.
